February dribbles - 27
I saw the showers descend today
From skies that glowered thunderous gray;
I saw a squirrel on its way
To hide.
I saw the pale blue cloud of sun;
The squirrel scampered to his fun
Dug up my plants; the yard’s begun
To die.
Spring smiled and I
Saw life.
